Most of the people don’t make full use of Short URL site’s services fully with ease. So I decided to write this post. Here, We are talking about Sho.Li

1) First process is simple, Just copy the address of the site from address bar and paste into the form at http://sho.li and get the new short URL.

2) The second way is far easy than the first one. First, Look at the image below and see the arrows.

Click and Drag the “Short URL Bookmarklet” and “Twitter Bookmarklet” to your toolbar. It will look like as in the image above. Once this is done, your work ahs been simplified. Just Click on Short URL Bookmarklet button in your toobar (which you added just now) when ever you need a short URL. By clicking, you will get the short URL of the current page on which you have hit the “Short URL Bookmarklet” Button.

Now, If you are a Twitter user, then click on the “Twitter Bookmarklet” button on the toolbar and the current open aite address will be provided with a Short URL and get posted on twitter (of course after your permission).

Examples:

1) Go to any site, for example GOOGLE and click the “Short URL Bookmarklet” Button, you will get the short URL for Google’s site then and there. Applies to any site.

2) Go to any site (which you want to post on twitter), for example facebook.com and click the “Twitter Bookmarklet” button, then Short URL of the facebook.com will get posted on twitter, just hit the button in twitter and it will be published.

Reason to use Short URL s:

1)  Avoid lengthy URL , which is hard to remeber.

2) Hide Real URL  as in case of affiliate links.

3) Save alphabet limit at Twitter.   and many more….
